Statement
Michele de la Menardiere explores the emotional landscape through abstract painting. Working intuitively, she investigates the ebb and flow of feeling states through layered compositions defined by organic forms, saturated hues, and expressive mark-making.
Each of her paintings emerges from a dynamic interplay of structure and spontaneity. Her process is cathartic—a way to translate the ineffable into tangible, visual form. Through her work, Michele invites viewers to contemplate the complexity, ambiguity, and beauty of inner life.
