While participating in a Zen meditation course earlier this year, I created this collection of small abstract paintings on paper. I paired each piece with a Zen kōan – a paradoxical question or statement used in Buddhist practice to disrupt conventional thought and provoke insight. These kōans are not puzzles to be solved, but tools to disrupt the habit of logical thinking, inviting a different perspective.
I offer you a moment of reflection, calm, and presence with these words and images.
Pieces come framed or unframed. Please click on images for price information.
